The TDM 1.2-050-300-W1-000/S105 servo drive module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use in the TDM Servo Drive Modules series throughout industrial automation. It converts a shared DC bus into regulated motor current so machine tools, packaging axes, and handling equipment can follow commanded torque and speed with precision. Integrated monitoring circuits report operating status to the controller, which reduces external wiring and keeps key drive functions inside one enclosure. This arrangement suits rack-based servo systems where several axes share common supply infrastructure and need stable current control during changing loads.

During continuous duty, the drive supplies a motor armature with 45 A, while the current loop can stabilize at a minimum of 15 A for light-load positioning tasks. Its output stage can support motor demand up to 15 kW without derating. Command sensitivity is fixed at 0.050 V/A, so a 1 V analog reference corresponds to 20 A of commanded current and works well with legacy analog control racks. The power stage is energized from a 300 V DC link, and on that bus the module dissipates only 250 W as heat, which helps limit cabinet temperature rise. Category C insulation resists voltage transients, while the IP10 housing prevents accidental contact with live parts and requires installation behind a panel.

Short bursts of mechanical acceleration are handled by a peak current of 50 A. Thermal energy generated during those surges is removed by the drive’s built-in fan; the blower consumes 30 VA and forces air across the heat sink so the electronics can operate at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C without tripping. Forced airflow helps maintain stable operation during repeated acceleration and deceleration cycles in enclosed cabinets. Altitude capability reaches 1000 m above sea level before output derating begins. Even with the cooling assembly installed, the unit weighs 10 kg, which helps keep panel installation manageable.
