TCM1.1-80-W0 is an auxiliary capacitor. It is part of the TCM product line from Bosch Rexroth. The capacitor is used with TVR series industrial power supply units from Bosch. These supplies rectify the three-phase AC input and provide a regulated DC output for motors connected to the drives. The capacitor performs a number of functions. It filters out high-frequency noise and ripple voltage. In some applications, the capacitor can be used to improve the power factor for the power supply. It can also help to prevent transient voltage spikes and surges. Capacitance of the capacitor unit is 8 millifarads. It has an internal blower for cooling. The air taken in via the cool air inlet at the bottom is forced out by the internal blower. The hot air exits via the hot air exit located at the top of the capacitor. Bosch has designed the TCM1.1-80-W0 for vertical mounting. The power terminals are located at the front of the unit and a touch guard is provided to prevent accidental contact. Height of the TCM1.1-80-W0 is 355 millimeters and its depth is 208 millimeters.
