The TBM 1.1-20-W1/220V is a bleeder module produced by the company. The bleeder module is integrated into the automation line. The device is used to absorb the additional regenerative energy generated by the drives when they are run in generator mode. The system has a peak bleeder power of 20 kW. This bleeder module dissipates the additional energy from the system bus. The additional energy is dissipated as heat. The TBM 1.1-20-W1/220V consists of a chopper and a resistor. When a motor is braking and the motor’s inverter is run in regenerative mode, the bus voltage can rise and reach the threshold voltage. This is when the system’s chopper engages to bleed excess energy through the resistor. Because of this, the bleeder module prevents the voltage from rising above the threshold value.

The bleeder module discharges the excess electric charge that is stored in the filter capacitor when the connected devices are switched off.
