Product Description:

The SPM 17-TD module is a spindle amplifier designed and developed by Bosch Rexroth. A leading manufacturer and supplier of many automations related products including servo motors, linear motors, spindle motors, frequency converts and a wide range of spindle amplifiers.

The SPM 17 spindle amplifier comes packed in a black, metallic housing designed to fit compact applications. The housing is assembled using fasteners. The product can be identified by the nameplate sticker on the front panel of housing. The sticker mentions type code, serial number, current rating, and voltage rating. The motor must be grounded before starting the operation. The ground connection status is indicated by an LED on the panel. A set of LEDs is available which shows status of the device including LF, MMF, FG 1 and F. The terminals are shielded by a plastic cover adding value to device safety. The amplifier must be installed in a closed cabinet to protect it from environmental challenges such as moisture, rain, dust, and dirt. To control the ambient temperature in the range of 0 and +40 degree Celsius, a cooling fan is incorporated in the housing. To allow air to pass through the module, separate vent for exhaust and intake are available. The vents should never be blocked during operation.
