The SM 35/8-GC16 is an industrial servo inverter designed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat according to international quality standards. The inverter is manufactured by well-trained industrial engineers, it features a modular design and can be used in a broad range of production and processing applications. The SM 35/8-GC16 inverter is intended to be used with the SD industrial motor, when combined with the motor to accurately controls the speed, position, and torque output of the servo motor. Under ideal operating conditions, the inverter maintains an operational efficiency as high as 95 percent. This inverter is designed to meet the IP00 protection class, however before operation it should be installed into a closed control cabinet.
An air blower should be installed around the servo inverter to dissipate excess heat by forced ventilation. The rated input current required by the inverter for optimum operation is about 35 amperes, inverter can also operate with an input current as high as 70 amperes. The handling, installation, and configuration of this inverter is designed to be very simple and straight forward, however it is still important to ensure these operations should be carried out by well trained personnel who are familiar with Bosch Rexroth products.
The SM 35/8-GC16> inverter can be used with additional modules that extend its functionality and makes it suited to specific industrial applications. These additional optional modules include the axis switching module, start-stop switching module, tacho and stall monitoring module, and the ramp generator module. The permissible ambient temperature suited for the operation of the servo inverter is between <<0 to about 50 degrees, operating the inverter above this ambient temperature range can reduce its rated data.
