Product Description:
The SE-LB3.055.030-14.000 servo motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is designed for closed-loop motion axes where electrical energy must be translated into accurately metered mechanical rotation. By combining a permanent-magnet rotor with an integrated power-off brake, the motor serves packaging stations, transfer lines, and assembly cells that require consistent positioning and responsive speed regulation. This layout supports accurate starts, stops, and repeatable holding at rest.
The motor reaches a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, enabling direct coupling to gearless transmission stages. Under transient demand, it can supply up to 16.2 Nm of torque, while the inverter may momentarily deliver a peak current of 40 A to achieve that output. Continuous torque at zero speed is 6.8 Nm and is supported by a standstill current of 6.7 A. A torque constant of 1.02 Nm/A links commanded phase current to shaft torque, and a phase resistance of 3.53 ohms establishes copper loss during steady operation. The winding inductance is 30 mH, which limits current slew for smoother control loops. These electrical values show how the winding responds to current during steady operation.
For holding duties, the built-in brake provides 8.0 Nm of restraining torque and uses 0.8 A for brake release, allowing safe retention of vertical or offset loads. Dynamic behavior is assisted by a low rotor inertia of 1.21 × 10-3 kgm², which minimizes settling time after speed changes. The complete assembly measures 295 mm in length with the brake fitted and weighs 11.3 kg, easing installation on compact frames. No mating connector is shipped, so the cable set can be selected to match the paired drive. A smooth output shaft is supplied without a keyway, and the back-EMF constant is 113 V/1000 rpm, so the drive must accommodate that generated voltage during high-speed operation.
