Product Description:
The SE-KB5.240.030-00.000 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop industrial drives where accurate speed control and repeatable positioning are required. When coupled to a servo controller, the motor converts electrical commands into shaft motion that can index conveyors, actuate tooling heads, or feed machining axes. This controlled motion allows the connected equipment to respond precisely to changes in position, velocity, and torque commands.
Thermal regulation relies on radiation and natural convection, so no external blower or liquid cooling loop is needed. At a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, the rotor can track high cycle-rate commands while remaining within its thermal limits. The housing has an IP65 protection rating, blocking dust ingress and low-pressure water jets so the motor may be mounted outside sealed cabinets. Mechanical integration is simplified by the IM B5 mounting type, which provides a flange face with through holes for direct attachment to gearboxes or machine frames. Acoustic emissions remain below a maximum of 58 dB(A), allowing installation near operating areas without exceeding typical industrial noise limits. Power conductors enter through a side terminal box, and the shaft conforms to DIN 748 geometry with a DIN 6885 key for use with standard couplings.
The output end has a keyway and feather key, enabling positive torque transfer while simplifying pulley removal during service. Internal components tolerate shocks of up to 6 g, allowing the motor to withstand rapid deceleration and handling impacts encountered on automated gantries. The resolver electronics, tachogenerator, and encoder circuitry share a regulated ±15 VDC sensor supply delivered by the drive controller. For velocity feedback during analog control, the integral tachogenerator produces 2.7 V/1000 rpm, providing predictable scaling for speed loops across the operating range. This feedback signal enables the controller to detect changes in rotor velocity and correct deviations from the commanded speed.
