Product Description:
The SE-C4.210.030-04.101 synchronous servo motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion axes, the unit converts electrical energy into controlled mechanical rotation for positioning tooling, conveyors, or packaging spindles in industrial automation lines. Its permanent-magnet rotor supports responsive torque production and precise speed regulation when paired with a compatible servo drive. An integrated electromagnetic holding brake secures vertical or suspended loads while the motor is not energized. The oil-tight drive-end plate permits installation next to lubricated gear stages while preventing oil from entering the stator housing.
At its rated operating point, the motor runs at 3000 rpm and delivers a continuous torque of 21 Nm. For short periods of high demand, the electromagnetic circuit can raise the output to 57.4 Nm, providing additional acceleration torque for indexing cycles. The holding brake provides 18 Nm of clamping torque when its power supply is removed. It releases in 50 ms and engages in 55 ms, allowing the axis to transition quickly between motion and holding states. The brake coil operates at 24 V DC ±10%, making it suitable for standard machine control circuits. The splined rotor terminates in a shaft measuring 24 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length. An A8 × 7 × 40 feather key provides positive engagement with a compatible coupling or gearbox input. The motor measures 394 mm in overall length with the brake assembly installed.
Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 4.98 × 10⁻³ kg·m², balancing rapid acceleration with manageable control-loop tuning. The stator housing, brake, and embedded tacho generator bring the total mass to 24 kg, so the mounting surface must support the motor and the forces produced during operation. A 142 mm square flange provides the primary mounting interface for planetary reducers or direct-driven machinery. The flange centers the motor against the attached equipment to maintain shaft alignment and reduce stress on the coupling. For velocity feedback, the built-in tacho generator produces 2.7 V/1000 rpm. This analog signal allows a compatible legacy servo drive to monitor motor speed without requiring a digital encoder.
