Product Description:
The SE-C4.170.030-10.037 synchronous servo motor is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for industrial automation, it supplies responsive torque and repeatable speed so packaging stations, material-handling axes, and general motion systems can execute programmed profiles with high precision. The motor operates with a separate drive controller and uses tachogenerator feedback to close the velocity loop during operation.
With an IM B5 construction, the motor mounts to a machine wall through a flange that measures 142 mm across, while a 130 mm pilot diameter centers the housing in the recess. The plain shaft is machined to a 24 mm diameter and extends 50 mm beyond the bearing face; it is supplied without a keyway, so clamping couplings are required. Radial location is aided by an M8 centering-hole thread in the shaft end. The aluminum frame is 315 mm long and weighs 19.0 kg, dimensions that permit installation in compact cabinets. Motor leads with a 6.0 mm² cross-section exit the stator, providing adequate conductor area for the rated current while maintaining flexible routing.
During operation, the rotor reaches a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, delivering synchronous motion when commanded by the drive controller. At standstill, the stator draws 19 A, which corresponds to the continuous holding torque. Velocity information is returned through the built-in tachogenerator, which produces 2.7 V per 1000 rpm, letting the controller monitor speed without an external encoder. Internal filtering limits DC-bus voltage ripple to 1.5%, reducing torque pulsation at low speeds. The winding set tolerates shocks up to 6 g, so the motor can serve axes that experience rapid acceleration or end-stop impacts. Power flows through the specified 6.0 mm² leads, and the absence of a shaft keyway helps reduce stress during reversing loads.
