The SE-B5.450.030-14.000 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop industrial axes, the unit converts electrical drive commands into precise mechanical rotation for positioning and speed-controlled motion. A brushless tachogenerator mounted on the motor end bell supplies speed feedback to the controller, allowing the drive to monitor shaft velocity during operation. The housing is supplied without a mating connector so application-specific cable sets can be selected, and the smooth shaft has no keyway or feather key for shrink-fit, collet, or other custom coupling methods.
Mechanical integration uses the IM B5 construction type, and a 190 mm pilot circle centers the motor accurately on the mounting face. Balance quality grade N helps limit residual vibration during operation at the rated 3000 rpm, while the IP65 enclosure helps keep out dust and water jets. Stopping and holding functions are handled by a spring-applied brake with 56 Nm of static torque. The brake contains 5.2 kg of rotor mass and requires 1.5 A to release, which supports position holding on vertical axes and braking when power is removed.
The output interface uses a 32 mm diameter shaft that extends 58 mm from the flange, supporting direct coupling to medium-frame gearboxes and similar driven components. Electrical service for the brake must provide 24 V ±10% so the 1.5 A coil can release reliably under normal supply variation. The tachogenerator has a constant of 2.7 V per 1000 rpm with a tolerance of ±5%, which supports stable speed feedback to the controller. In the matched drive system, bus-link voltage ripple is limited to ≤1.5 %, helping the motor maintain consistent torque production during dynamic duty cycles.
