The Bosch Rexroth Indramat SE-B5.320.030-14.010 is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor in the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It functions as a rotary actuator that executes programmed motion profiles for packaging, handling, and metal-forming equipment where closed-loop drives require steady torque across a controlled speed range. The unit connects to an external drive that regulates stator current, while an integrated electromagnetic brake locks the shaft when operating power is removed.
At a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm, the motor maintains its rated output without thermal derating. At zero speed, it develops 38 Nm of standstill torque while drawing 34 A of standstill current through a winding set with a resistance of 0.22 Ω. Torque generation follows a constant of 1.11 Nm/A, and a winding inductance of 4.6 mH supports dynamic response. Acceleration bursts are supported by a maximum stator current of 256 A, allowing the motor to respond rapidly to changing motion commands. Current rise inside the coils is governed by an electrical time constant of 20.4 ms, which affects control-loop bandwidth when the motor is paired with a compatible drive amplifier.
For holding and emergency stops, the permanent-magnet brake provides 56 Nm of holding torque and operates with a 24 V DC supply at 1.5 A. The rotor has a reflected inertia of 13.6 × 10⁻³ kg·m², balancing quick load reversals with smooth velocity regulation. The output flange has increased concentricity in accordance with DIN 42955, supporting accurate alignment with a compatible gearbox or machine interface. Because the shaft is supplied without a keyway, torque transfer relies on a friction-fit clamping coupling that minimizes backlash. A back-EMF constant of 118 V/1000 rpm indicates the voltage generated during rotation and supports the drive’s monitoring of motor behavior. The brake holds the connected load while the motor is stationary, and the smooth shaft permits secure coupling without a keyed connection.
