The SE-B5.320.030-10.015 synchronous servo motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a rotary actuator, this model converts electric drive current into precisely controlled torque and speed for positioning tasks in automated machinery, conveyors, and material-handling areas on the factory floor. Its B5 construction format enables direct flange mounting on gearboxes or machine plates, reducing alignment time and supporting a rigid mechanical connection between the motor and driven equipment.
A centering pilot with a diameter of 180 mm registers the motor to the mating surface, while the flange measures 190 mm across and meets IEC B5 dimensions. The ground shaft has a diameter of 32 mm and extends 58 mm beyond the front bearing, simplifying its connection to keyed hubs or rigid clutches. The laminated stator is protected by an IP65 housing, so dust and low-pressure water jets do not interfere with the windings. The rated speed is 2000 rpm, providing a moderate base speed and sufficient capacity for dynamic torque peaks. This operating speed works with the motor’s built-in tacho generator, which supplies velocity feedback to a compatible servo drive. The overall geometry follows the IM B5 mounting orientation and places the terminal box on the outer rim for straightforward conduit routing.
The power circuit enters through a PG29 gland at the motor housing, and the terminal clamps accept conductors with a cross-sectional area of 10.0 mm² to help limit line losses at full load. Separate brake leads exit through a PG9 fitting and connect to a resistor with a resistance of 1.0 ohm; the resistor can absorb up to 785 Ws of braking energy, permitting rapid deceleration without an external chopper. For velocity feedback to legacy controllers, the integrated tachometer produces 2.7 V/1000 rpm, allowing the drive electronics to monitor shaft speed with minimal signal conditioning. The separate power, brake, and feedback connections allow the corresponding circuits to be routed independently within a multi-axis installation.
