Internal Product Review
The SE-B5.320.020-10.101 is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat synchronous servo motor with IP65 protection and an oil-tight drive-end end plate. A nominal speed of 2000 rpm and static torque of 39 Nm support stable, responsive performance in demanding motion systems. Peak torque up to 90 Nm with Sm 35/70 makes the motor an excellent option for dynamic industrial duty.

Product Description:
The SE-B5.320.020-10.101 is a permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It serves as the rotary actuator in closed-loop drive systems, converting electrical energy into tightly regulated torque and speed for machine tools, packaging lines, and handling modules. When paired with a compatible drive controller, the motor supports repeatable positioning, stable speed regulation, and responsive motion on automated axes such as feed units, transfer systems, and packaging stations.
At a nominal speed of 2000 rpm, the motor can maintain 39 Nm of static torque while operating at a standstill current of 24 A. That standstill capability is useful when an axis must resist process forces without unwanted drift between motion commands. For rapid acceleration and brief overload demands, it can reach a maximum torque of 90 Nm with a short-term peak current of 146 A. The torque constant of 1.60 Nm/A gives the drive a predictable relationship between commanded current and shaft output, which helps with smooth control at low and moderate speeds. A phase winding resistance of 0.47 Ω and an inductance of 8.7 mH affect current rise and decay in the windings, so the connected amplifier must respond cleanly during changes in load or direction.
The housing has an IP65 rating, and the drive-end end plate is oil-tight, allowing installation near coolant splash or lubricated machine sections. The oil-tight drive-end plate also helps keep contamination away from internal bearing areas during normal machine operation. A keyless shaft machined to Ø32 × 58 mm transfers torque through friction-fit couplings, which can help reduce backlash in direct-drive connections. Rotor inertia is 13.6 × 10⁻³ kg·m², giving the motor enough stored energy for smooth rotation without making speed changes overly sluggish. The overall mass of 31 kg supports a rigid mechanical build, while the 40-minute thermal time constant shows that heat builds gradually during sustained operation. A back-EMF constant of 176 V/1000 rpm must be considered when matching the motor to the DC-bus voltage range of the drive.
