Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the SE-B4.130.030-14.015 as part of its SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. This AC servo motor is intended for tightly regulated positioning or velocity loops where precise rotary motion must be delivered to ball screws, gearboxes, or direct-drive shafts on packaging, machine-tool, and assembly equipment. By converting controlled stator current into mechanical torque, it forms the electromechanical interface between a digital drive controller and the moving elements of an automated axis.
The motor has a nominal speed of 3000 rpm, supporting fast axis travel with moderate gear ratios. At standstill, it can hold loads with a static torque of 9.0 Nm, while its acceleration capacity reaches a maximum torque of 27.6 Nm for rapid indexing. An internal spring-applied brake engages in 55 ms, providing fail-safe shaft locking during emergency stops or power loss. Heat produced in the windings is removed through radiation and natural convection, so no external blower or liquid cooling circuit is required. This cooling method reduces the number of auxiliary components needed around the motor and allows heat to dissipate directly from the housing.
The sealed housing has an IP67 protection rating, which blocks dust ingress and permits temporary immersion during washdown cycles. The motor withstands impacts up to 6 g, supporting installation on mobile or high-vibration machinery. Its noise emission does not exceed 58 dB(A), which helps limit sound levels around operating equipment. Power is transmitted through a shaft with a diameter of 24 mm, a length of 50 mm, and a 130 mm pilot for standard IM B5 flange mounting. The brake releases in 50 ms, allowing the drive to resume shaft movement shortly after the release command is applied.
