Product Description:
The SE-B3.055.030-14.015 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop positioning and velocity control, the unit works with digital drives to actuate indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and other precision stages in automated machinery. Its electromagnetic design delivers controlled torque and speed, while the integrated tacho feedback supplies real-time velocity information to the controller. This makes the motor suitable for applications that require repeatable starts, stops, and speed changes.
At its rated operating point, the motor runs at 3000 rpm and can generate a static torque of 6.8 Nm while drawing a standstill current of 6.7 A through a 3.5 ohm phase winding. The torque constant is 1.02 Nm/A, so commanded current corresponds directly to shaft torque during operation. Dynamic response is influenced by an electrical time constant of 8.4 ms and a mechanical inertia of 1.21 × 10⁻³ kg·m², allowing a 27 ms ramp-up from zero to nominal speed. The built-in tachogenerator produces 2.7 V per 1000 rpm with an accuracy of ±5% and keeps tacho ripple at 1.5% or less, which gives the controller a stable feedback signal. A voltage constant of 110 V per 1000 rpm links generated back EMF to motor speed during regenerative operation, and the winding resistance determines copper loss during continuous duty.
The front A-flange carries an IP67 rating, which helps protect the bearing area against dust and temporary immersion. A permanent-magnet brake rated for 24 V ±10 % engages automatically when supply power is removed; it draws 0.8 A and clamps the shaft with 8.0 Nm of holding torque to secure vertical loads. The thermal time constant is 29 min, so the motor heats gradually during short duty peaks instead of reaching its steady-state temperature immediately.
