The SE-B2.040.060-00.015 servo motor is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is a compact permanent-magnet AC unit that converts drive current into controlled torque and speed for positioning tables, pick-and-place axes, and other automated equipment. With an overall length of 277 mm and a 14 mm keyed shaft, the motor integrates easily with belt pulleys or planetary gearheads commonly used in machinery. Its compact form also helps when the axis layout leaves limited room behind the mounting face.

The motor’s rated operating point is a 6000 rpm nominal speed, which requires the drive to supply the matching electrical frequency during continuous operation. At standstill, it can hold a 4.0 Nm static torque, giving indexing mechanisms solid holding force before movement begins. Producing that torque requires only 10.0 A of standstill current because the winding delivers a 0.42 Nm/A torque constant, so current demand remains predictable at low speed. A built-in tachogenerator provides 1.8 V/1000 rpm, giving the controller an analog velocity signal for legacy drive systems. This feedback arrangement supports stable speed monitoring without requiring a separate external sensor.

During dynamic phases, the stator can accept a 60 A peak current, allowing rapid acceleration when combined with the low 0.75 × 10⁻³ kg·m² rotor inertia. The low inertia helps shorten ramp times while keeping shock loads within the published 6 g rating. The 9.4 mH winding inductance helps smooth current ripple, and the 45 V/1000 rpm voltage constant means the drive must overcome increasing back-EMF as speed rises. An A5 × 5 × 25 feather key secures the 30 mm shaft length to the load, and the 8.8 kg housing supports rigid mounting on typical machine frames.
