Product Description:
The SE-B2.040.030-10.000 is a permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. It provides closed-loop rotary actuation for industrial automation tasks that require repeatable velocity and accurate positioning, such as indexing tables, packaging machines, and small handling gantries. It interfaces with drives that provide sinusoidal commutation and current regulation.
At its nominal operating point, the motor reaches 3000 rpm, delivering a static torque of 5.0 Nm while drawing 4.5 A of standstill current. The torque constant is 1.14 Nm/A, so each ampere of phase current contributes proportional torque at 40 °C. Short bursts up to 26 A are tolerated, allowing quick acceleration before thermal limits intervene. Electrical responsiveness is set by an 8.1 ms electrical time constant, which, together with the voltage constant of 112 V/1000 rpm, lets the drive track speed commands precisely. Analog velocity feedback is available through the tachogenerator, which generates 1.8 V/1000 rpm within ±5%.
Mechanical characteristics align the motor with compact machinery. The square flange measures 100 mm and mates to gearboxes or frames, with an overall length of 277 mm. Rotor dynamics are influenced by a moment of inertia of 0.75 kg m² × 10⁻³, supporting quick reversals without high loop gains. The stator’s phase inductance is 54 mH and the copper resistance at 20 °C is 6.4 Ω, which helps limit ripple current and supports steady thermal dissipation. A total mass of 8.8 kg eases installation on lightweight axes yet supplies enough thermal capacity for continuous duty. The shaft measures 14 mm in diameter and 30 mm in length and is supplied without a keyway, so couplings must clamp on the plain surface.
