Product Description:
The SE-B2.020.030-14.037 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the SE Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop industrial automation, the unit converts drive current into precisely controlled shaft motion, allowing machinery to follow programmed speed and position profiles without mechanical gearing. At its rated operating point, the rotor turns at 3000 rpm.
The motor can supply a continuous holding torque of 2.9 Nm, which is adequate for maintaining the load position while the axis is energized but motionless. During acceleration events, the drive may draw a peak phase current of 16 A, whereas the standstill current is limited to 2.7 A to reduce copper losses against the winding resistance of 14.7 Ω. A torque constant of 1.10 Nm/A links commanded current to developed torque, and a back EMF constant of 114 V/1000 rpm indicates the voltage generated in relation to motor speed. The stator inductance is 76 mH, which affects the rate at which winding current changes in response to drive commands. The mechanical time constant of 5.0 ms supports responsive speed regulation and helps the control loop manage load disturbances during operation.
The motor can produce up to 6.9 Nm for short intervals, providing additional torque during acceleration and indexing moves. Its electrical time constant of 4.8 ms supports rapid current changes when the drive commands a torque increase or decrease. The motor has a 17 min thermal time constant, permitting intermittent overloads before the windings reach their temperature limit. Dynamic starts are supported by a ramp-up period of 24 ms and a rotor inertia of 0.44 × 10⁻³ kg·m², which balances quick response with the smoothing of load disturbances. The motor has an overall length of 230 mm and weighs 6.5 kg, making it suitable for compact gantry or tooling axes where motor mass contributes directly to the moving load.
