Product Description:
The SE302 belongs to the SB System Box Units series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. In an automation cell, this compact box supplies distributed I/O handling and fieldbus communication so a higher-level PLC can monitor sensors and actuate devices without adding large rack hardware. The unit concentrates power, signaling, and diagnostics in one enclosure, making it a practical node for conveyor lines, packaging machines, and other equipment that requires remote digital points and standard serial links.
The controller offers 10 digital inputs at 24 V for limit switches, proximity sensors, or pushbuttons, and it provides 13 digital outputs at 24 V to drive contactors or indicator lamps. When connected to an Interbus-S network, it can exchange up to 160 points (20 bytes) of data per scan, while a PROFIBUS-DP connection is limited to 32 points (4 bytes); these capacities allow the segment bandwidth to be matched to the application. One LT link cable can be attached, and the link is recognized automatically, simplifying component recognition and startup. For local configuration or data logging, the box includes an RS232/RS422/20 mA interface that matches common terminal equipment. Two open card slots provide room for additional communication or memory cards. The BS300 programming software supports parameter setting and logic editing on a PC. Integrated system diagnostics indicate wiring breaks, overcurrent events, and internal faults without requiring extra modules.
Field wiring leaves the box through a Type A cable; when the LT link is used, the maximum distance between stations is 100 m. Drop cables may be uncoiled for up to 10 m and unspiraled for up to 2.5 m, keeping signal integrity within the stated limits. The aluminum housing and internal shields control emissions, and the assembly weighs only 1.4 kg, allowing it to be mounted on lightweight DIN rails inside decentralized cabinets.
