The RZR01.2-RD52-0880-S-R-FW frequency converter controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RZR Frequency Converters series. Installed between the drive DC bus and the plant mains, it channels regenerated power back to the supply instead of dissipating it in braking resistors. This role supports energy recovery and reduces heat inside automated machining cells, conveyors, and test stands that require controlled bidirectional power flow during deceleration and overhauling operation.
It accepts a supply of 24 V ±5% for its internal electronics and uses a single-circuit design identified as design 2 on line 01. The power stage can return up to 880 A of regenerated current to the mains while drawing only 12 A for its own control logic and cooling fans. Drive torque is modulated through field-oriented vector control, which separates stator current into flux and torque components for stable response during changing load conditions.
