It serves as the regenerative mains inverter in multi-axis drive systems, returning excess DC-bus energy to the supply network instead of dissipating it as heat. It is intended for coordinated drive systems that share a common DC bus, and this function can reduce heat buildup during frequent braking events in industrial automation lines.

This controller regulates power flow with field-oriented vector control, allowing precise torque and speed handling on connected drives. This control method supports stable regenerative operation when several axes share a common DC bus and pass through repeated deceleration cycles. Its power stage is rated for up to 610 A, so the unit can return substantial braking energy to the mains without external resistors. Logic and sensor electronics are supplied from a control rail at 24 V ±5%, isolating them from the high-power section.
