As a frequency converter controller, it acts as the interface between a DC link and an induction or synchronous motor, providing the power modulation required for speed regulation in industrial automation cells. Within a larger drive package, this unit works as the motor inverter section, receiving low-voltage commands from the control system and issuing high-current pulses to the attached machine axis.
