Product Description:
The RZP01.1-C2 option module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RZP Option Modules series. Designed for mounting inside Rexroth control racks, the board extends motion-control platforms with additional field-level I/O and CANopen networking. By concentrating high-density analog, digital, and bus-interface resources on a single card, the unit connects sensors, actuators, and peripheral drives without external junction boxes. In an automation cell, it acts as the electrical intermediary that translates process signals to the controller and returns command outputs to connected hardware.
The module offers 8 (16-bit) analog inputs that sample voltage or current signals for closed-loop processing, and it also provides 8 (16-bit) analog outputs that supply proportional valves or reference setpoints. For discrete control, the board includes 32 digital inputs for status detection and 32 digital outputs that energize relays or optocoupler stages. All bus traffic and power reach the card through a 9-pin D-SUB connector mounted on its faceplate, while internal supply rails of +5 V and +15 V feed the logic and output stages. With a width of 86 mm and a length of 104 mm, the card fits standard Euro-format slots without adapter plates.
On the network side, the controller communicates over CANopen at selectable data rates of 125/250/500/1000 kbit/s, allowing throughput to be matched to cable length and node count. Compliance with the ISO 11898 physical layer supports interoperability with other CAN devices in the plant. The board is assigned classification 3K3, so it is suitable for installation areas with moderate humidity and non-conductive dust. Its specified functional temperature range is 0 °C to 40 °C; outside this range, derating or additional enclosure cooling is required to maintain conversion accuracy and reliable switching.
