Product Description:
The Bosch RZP01.1-B1 is an Interbus S option module. The Interbus S is an actuator / sensor bus with a data transfer protocol that supports 500 kbps data rate. Interbus S is used for fast data transfer in the field. The physical cable used for Interbus S data transfer is a 5-conductor cable (RS-485, twisted, shielded). The RZP01.1-B1 conforms with DIN 19258 or EN 50 524 for the Interbus S protocol specifications. The module installs on the module slots on the RD 500 drive control card and operates with 5 Volts / 15 Volts input from the control card. The interfaces on the module are visible when the front cover on the control card is removed. The dimensions of the RZP01.1-B1 card are 88 x 89 millimeters. The ambient conditions for storage and operation are -25 to 70 degrees Celsius and 0 to 40 degrees Celsius respectively.
There are three status LEDs on the front of the RZP01.1-B1 module. The RED LED flashes as long as the communication software is working properly. The YELLOW LED flashes as long as the data transfer with the basic drive unit is working properly. The GREEN LED flashes as long as the messages are being exchanged with the bus master. The RZP01.1-B1 has two Interbus interfaces: the X40 interface is a 9-pin connector with sub-D socket and the X41 is an additional 9-pin connector with sub-D socket. The RS-485 data transfer protocol allows a distance of 400 meters between two devices. Each node on the Interbus network supports an integrated repeater function that allows the network to be expanded to 13 kilometers. The network cables should not be routed near power cables. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
