The RZF02.1-4-018 is a radio interference filter used for noise reduction in the RD 500 drive control series. This model is frequently relied upon for speed control applications and positioning tasks in the synchronous and induction motors. The device can adapt to a variety of control tasks and applications because it is capable of parameterization. The drive controller also contains serial interfacing options through the RS232 and RS485 ports. The RZF02.1-4-018 radio interference filter can be used for establishing a connection between the frequency converters (installed in the drive controller) and an industrial network. The use of this interference filter ensures that the connection is in accordance with the EN618003 EMC standards. Another use of this device is standardizing all frequency converters as per the guidelines highlighted in standard ‘Variable Speed Drives in the Second Environment’.

The RZF02.1-4-018 falls in the power rating category 018 and has power ratings of 11 kW, 15 kW, and 18.5 kW. The device has been made compatible with different pulse frequencies. It can operate a 4 kHz, 10 kHz, and 12 kHz frequencies. For each pulse frequency, a connecting cable of a different length is required i.e. 35 m, 50 m, and 80 m. In line with the climatic category 3k3, the device can be operated in versatile environments ranging from domestic buildings to industrial areas.  The device can suppress a significant amount of noise (in accordance with the EN618003 standards) that makes for use in residential areas.
