Product Description:
The RZE01.2-5-005 is an EMC filter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RZE EMC Filters series. Positioned on the input side of a drive system, it suppresses differential and common-mode noise so frequency converters can operate within prescribed emission limits. The module maintains power integrity on three-phase supplies while diverting high-frequency disturbances to ground, helping protect sensitive control electronics and support compliance with industrial electromagnetic compatibility standards. It is suitable for installation in cabinets used with material-handling, packaging, and process machinery where drive-induced interference must be limited.
The filter is built for utility grids operating at 50/60 Hz, allowing use on most industrial power networks. A continuous line current of 20 A can pass through the device without exceeding its thermal limits, matching the demand of converters rated up to 3.5 kW. The input can accept a line-to-line supply of 3 × AC 500 V ±10%, so the filter accommodates normal voltage fluctuations in the mains supply. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP20, which provides protection against contact with larger solid objects but does not protect against water. The open-frame unit must therefore be mounted inside a grounded enclosure that prevents accidental contact with live conductors and provides suitable protection for the application.
The filter belongs to size class A, giving it a compact footprint that allows placement close to the converter without unnecessarily long leads. With a mass of 2.5 kg, the unit is suitable for secure DIN-rail or back-panel mounting inside a control cabinet. The device supports continuous service at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C; operation above this limit may require derating or forced cooling. The product is Design Version 2 and uses the 01 line configuration. An integrated line choke reduces conducted noise without requiring a separate choke elsewhere in the panel, while short grounding and supply connections help maintain effective interference suppression.
