The RLC1-124ECB ready-made motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RLC1 Motor Power Cables series. It connects the output terminals of Rexroth drive controllers to the power pins of synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machinery. The cable carries three-phase voltage and protective earth conductors in a single sheath, simplifying installation and supporting electromagnetic compatibility in drag-chain or cabinet routes. Its direct motor-drive connection removes the need for intermediate junction boxes and reduces the number of separate connection points along the cable route.
The copper conductors correspond to 14 AWG and have a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm², allowing the cable to support medium-frame servo loads. At an ambient temperature of 40 °C, the assembly carries up to 22.6 A without requiring additional current derating. Mechanical integrity during motion is maintained by a minimum dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D. For stationary routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D. Observing these bend limits helps prevent conductor fatigue and protects the internal shielding as the cable moves through a carrier. The use of North American and metric conductor measurements also allows the cable size to be interpreted in control systems that use either convention.
The cable has an expected service life of 5,000,000 bending cycles, making it suitable for gantries, pick-and-place systems, and other axes that move repeatedly. Its permissible thermal exposure ranges from -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing the jacket to remain flexible during cold starts while resisting softening near warm servomotors. An integrated M23 power connector mates with compatible Rexroth motor housings. The drive-side plug provides a prepared interface for attachment to the controller output, reducing field termination work inside the cabinet. The cable is supplied in a Basic ready-made format with its shielding and drain wires already terminated. This arrangement maintains a continuous shielding path between the drive and motor while keeping the power conductors organized within one assembly.
