Product Description:
The RLB2-063HDB is a power-distribution cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied under the RLB Motor Power Cables series. Within the Rexroth Cables product group, the assembly connects MS2(X) servo motors to ctrlX DRIVE controllers through an industry-standard M58 motor plug. The cable has a Basic design and carries three-phase power and auxiliary conductors in a single sheath, reducing the number of separate conduit runs required in a machine. Its consistent diameter supports orderly routing along drag chains and through machine frames used in automated machining and packaging cells.
The internal conductor arrangement is 4 × L + 4 × 1.0 mm² + 2 × 1.5 mm², combining four load conductors with separate conductors for brake and temperature sensor circuits. Each load conductor has a cross-sectional area of 10 mm², providing the current capacity required for motors in the 600 V class. The power conductors are rated for 600/1000 V, while the auxiliary conductors are rated for 450/750 V. An insulation resistance of 20 MΩ per kilometer at 20 °C limits leakage current over longer cable runs. The cable has a PUR jacket in RAL 2003 orange, which provides abrasion resistance and tolerance to industrial coolants. In permanently installed applications, the copper conductors can operate continuously at +90 °C without degrading the insulation. Fixed routing requires a minimum bend radius of 5 × D to avoid excessive mechanical stress on the conductor assembly.
The cable can withstand an ambient temperature of +80 °C in fixed installations and +60 °C during flexible operation. Its lower ambient temperature limits are -30 °C when fixed and -20 °C during motion. Dynamic service life is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting repeated movement in cable carriers. The cable also permits a torsional displacement of ±30 °/m, making it suitable for routes exposed to controlled twisting on rotary tables and robotic equipment. During movement, the cable must maintain a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to prevent conductor corkscrewing and excessive strain. Proper clamping and routing help keep torsional and bending forces within the permitted limits during repeated machine cycles.
