The RLB2-062GDB cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RLB Motor Power Cables series. It is a multipole power lead intended for routing between a ctrlX or IndraDrive inverter and an MS2 synchronous motor in automated production equipment. The cable delivers motor phase current through its power conductors while its auxiliary conductors support additional motor functions. Its flexible design withstands repeated movement in cable tracks used on gantries, pick-and-place units, and other continuously moving axes.
Each main power conductor has a cross-sectional area of 6 mm², which carries motor phase current without excessive voltage drop over typical machine lengths. Inside the sheath, the conductor arrangement consists of 4 × L + 4 × 1.0 mm² + 2 × 1.5 mm². This arrangement separates the power lines, temperature sensor pairs, and protective ground conductors to maintain low mutual capacitance. Mechanical service life is rated for 5 million flex cycles, allowing the cable to endure repetitive movement in energy chains before insulation fatigue occurs. During dynamic travel, the installation must maintain a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to help prevent conductor strand breakage and preserve shielding integrity. Stationary installation permits a tighter minimum bend radius of 5 × D. These installation limits allow the cable to accommodate the repeated movement found in packaging machines, metal-cutting centers, and automated warehousing systems.
The motor end terminates with a keyed M58 power connector, eliminating the need to route individual wires inside the motor terminal box. The cable is configured for a direct connection, so an intermediate junction box is not required between the drive cabinet and the actuator. It is approved for use with ctrlX DRIVE inverters in industrial motion systems. The cable is also sized to match the winding characteristics of the MS2(X) motor family, helping maintain suitable impedance and thermal behavior throughout the connected motion system.
