The RLB2-022CBB motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RLB Motor Power Cables series. Designed for stationary or dynamic routing in machines, the cable carries three-phase supply power and auxiliary signals between MS2(X) synchronous motors and ctrlX DRIVE inverters. Its role in automation is to provide electrically secure, mechanically reliable energy transmission while conforming to installation requirements set for Rexroth motion axes.
The cable uses a Basic design that groups three power cores with a 1.0 mm² cross-section and four shielded signal pairs inside a robust jacket. That jacket is made from PUR (Orange RAL 2003), providing abrasion resistance and oil immunity during continual motion. For fixed or drag-chain applications it withstands up to 5,000,000 bending cycles, and the static bending radius is limited to 5 × D. The power conductors are rated to 600/1000 V, while the signal pairs carry 450/750 V, enabling simultaneous motor supply and sensor feedback. Connection to motors and drives is achieved through a pre-molded M23 (SPEEDCON) plug that supports quick half-turn locking. Continuous service is permissible at ambient temperatures up to 80 °C, and the flexible cores may reach 80 °C during operation without degrading insulation.
For dynamic runs the minimum bending radius tightens to 7.5 × D, allowing compact routing in cable chains. Four auxiliary cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm² support brake release, thermal sensor or holding brake functions that accompany the main phases. When permanently installed, conductor temperature may rise to 90 °C without exceeding insulation class limits, yet the sheath remains flexible down to a surrounding temperature of -30 °C, which aids cold-start capability in unheated halls. As a member of the Rexroth Cables product group, the assembly complements other RLB accessories and satisfies the mechanical, electrical and thermal envelopes required for ctrlX DRIVE controlled MS2(X) axes.
