The RL2-601EBB is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. As a dedicated supply lead, it connects the controller’s power stage to compatible Indramat servo motors while carrying three-phase power and a protective earth connection in a single assembly. The cable is designed for continuously moving machine sections, including gantries and handling modules, where repeated motion requires durable conductors and predictable flexibility. Its integrated arrangement also reduces the number of separate cables that must be routed between the drive controller and motor.
The cable has a bending endurance of 5,000,000 cycles, indicating how many articulated motions the PUR jacket and conductor bundle can tolerate before mechanical fatigue becomes noticeable. During movement, the cable may be routed through energy chains with a minimum dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D. Stationary installations permit a tighter bending radius of 5 × D without overstressing the copper strands. The circular sheath has a diameter of 14.8 mm, which supports accurate selection of clamps, cable glands, and carrier partitions. The outer jacket is made of PUR in orange RAL 2003, providing abrasion resistance, oil resistance, and high visibility around industrial machinery.
The internal conductor arrangement follows the RL2 basic design and uses 4 × L + 4 × 0.75 mm² conductors. Four power conductors, each with a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm², carry the motor phases and protective earth connection. Four smaller pilot wires accommodate temperature monitoring or brake circuits when required by the connected drive system. The phase-to-phase capacitance is limited to 0.4 nF/m, helping control displacement current over longer cable runs. The assembly contains four power cores that terminate at a T-pattern M32 terminal-box interface designed to mate directly with compatible Rexroth motor housings. This preconfigured interface eliminates the need to crimp the main power conductors in the field and helps prevent incorrect terminal assignments during installation.
