The RL2-046GBB is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. Designed for second-generation MS2 synchronous motors, this assembly carries three-phase power from an IndraDrive inverter directly to the motor without intermediate junctions. In automated production lines, the cable supplies current and grounding paths while tolerating constant movement in cable tracks. This combination makes it suitable for robotic axes, gantries, and transfer modules that require flexible and durable electrical transmission.
The RL2-046GBB follows the Basic cable design and uses a conductor arrangement of 4 × L + 4 × 0.75 mm². The first four cores carry the main phases, while the auxiliary 0.75 mm² conductors support protective functions such as temperature monitoring. Its overall copper cross-section is 6.0 mm², allowing the drive to deliver the rated motor current with limited voltage drop across typical machine lengths. The motor end is terminated with an M40 power connector that matches the housing geometry of compatible Rexroth MS2 motors and permits a direct plug-in connection. During continuous movement, the sheath supports a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D. The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, making it suitable for routing through energy chains without premature insulation fatigue.
When installed in a fixed position, the cable supports a static bending radius of 5 × D, which helps prevent conductor deformation at clamps and other stationary supports. Its operating and storage temperature range is -30 to 80 °C, allowing the assembly to remain installed or stored in locations without climate control. The electrical interface is compatible with IndraDrive power modules. On the motor side, the cable connects to second-generation MS2x motors with Plug V, providing the required pin arrangement and shielding continuity. The direct connection between the motor and drive eliminates the need for intermediate junction boxes. It also reduces the number of connection points along the power path while preserving the flexibility required for moving industrial machinery.
