Product Description:

The RL2-044DBB cable is a motor power lead supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It links second-generation Indramat servo motors to their drive controllers, carrying drive power and auxiliary signals in one routed assembly. The cable is intended for moving-axis machine modules where continual flexing and stable electrical parameters must be maintained over long service lives.

Mechanically, the cable follows the Basic design option, meaning the conductor arrangement and shielding conform to standard RL2 geometry. Its copper conductors have a cross-section of 1.5 mm², an area chosen to support the permitted continuous currents at up to 600/1000 V on the power cores and 450/750 V on the signal pair. The outer jacket is colored Orange (RAL 2003) for quick identification in multi-cable energy chains, and the sheath material is PUR, a polymer that resists machining oils and abrasion. When installed in dynamic drag-chain systems the cable withstands at least 5,000,000 bending cycles with a minimum radius of 7.5xD; for fixed routing the radius may be reduced to 5xD without impairing service life.

Thermally, the conductor insulation allows continuous operation up to 90 °C in stationary routing and up to 80 °C in constantly flexed applications, so cabinet airflow and cable carriers can be specified without derating. Insulation resistance remains at least 20 MΩ/km along the full temperature range, limiting leakage currents that would disturb encoder or brake signals transmitted in the same bundle. The cable terminates with an M40 motor-side connector to match the 2nd-generation servo housings, and an open controller end that can be fitted with the drive-specific plug kit.
