The RL2-010CBB motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RL2 Motor Power Cables series. It links second-generation Rexroth servo motors to their drives, carrying phase current and low-level signals for motion axes in industrial automation cells. The cable maintains consistent electrical performance while enduring continuous flexing in cable chains and robotic dress packs.
The basic cable design combines four 1.0 mm² power conductors and four 0.75 mm² signal cores within a densely stranded assembly. This conductor arrangement accommodates the current requirements of small-frame synchronous motors while keeping auxiliary circuits grouped within the same cable. Mechanical endurance is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, and cable-chain routing is supported by a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D. A static bending radius of 5 × D applies to fixed routing along machine panels. The outer sheath is made from PUR in Orange RAL 2003, providing abrasion resistance and high visibility. The conductor insulation tolerates up to 90 °C in fixed installations and 80 °C during flexible operation. An M17 molded connector provides a secure connection at the motor-side interface.
The phase conductors carry a rated line voltage of 600/1000 V, while the integrated feedback cores have an insulation rating of 450/750 V. These voltage ratings permit direct connection to compatible Rexroth drive controllers without additional conduit. The permissible temperature range for fixed installation is -30 to 80 °C, while flexible operation is permitted from -20 to 60 °C. These temperature ranges support routing through stationary panels and moving carriers attached to gantries or robotic equipment. The cable withstands torsional loads of up to ±30°/m, allowing controlled axis rotation without placing excessive strain on the conductors. Its polyurethane sheath also helps protect the internal cores from abrasion during repeated movement in demanding industrial applications.
