The RKL4781 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use with servo and spindle drives in automated machinery. It belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series and supplies three-phase power and auxiliary signals between the drive controller and the motor. By combining power conductors and control cores inside one industrial jacket, the cable minimizes installation space and supports compact routing within the automation cabinet. Its design accommodates fixed or flexing installations where electromagnetic compatibility and efficient cable management are required.
The electrical core of the cable follows the INK0602 construction standard. Inside the sheath, a grouped layout of 4x2.5 mm² + 4x1.0 mm² separates power transmission from sensing circuits; the 2.5 mm² cores carry the motor phases, while the 1.0 mm² cores accommodate temperature or brake signals. At 20 °C, each conductor has a DC resistance of 7.98 Ω/km, which helps limit voltage drop along extended axes. The dedicated control conductors retain a consistent cross-section throughout the cable to support reliable transmission of auxiliary signals. The cable has a capacitive coupling of 0.7 nF/m, supporting drives that use high-frequency switching without producing excessive reactive current.
At the motor end, the cable terminates in a WEF/RKS hybrid connector, while the controller side is equipped with the keyed RLS0723/K03 plug. These connectors provide secure attachment at both ends and allow convenient disconnection when access to the drive system is required. The outer jacket is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for high visibility and is molded from PUR (adhesion-free, matte) for abrasion resistance and easy routing through drag chains. This polymer resists oils, coolants, and torsional stress, helping the phase conductors remain electrically stable during continuous movement. Molded strain reliefs at both connectors limit cable movement near the terminations and protect the electrical contacts from mechanical stress.
