The Bosch Rexroth Indramat RKL4731 is a factory-terminated power cable sold under the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It links an Indramat drive controller to a synchronous servo motor, delivering main phase current while also routing brake and temperature conductors used during motor operation. The cable is supplied to length with mating connectors installed, so it can route power to moving axes without field crimping. Its motion-rated design provides a durable electrical path for automated machinery that operates with continuous dynamic movement.
The assembly is classified as a ready-made power cable with factory-installed conductor terminations. Four phase conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4x6.0 mm² carry the motor current while limiting voltage drop along the cable run. A tinned-copper braid and aluminum laminate form a total shield that helps prevent drive-generated switching noise from reaching nearby signal lines. The PUR outer sheath withstands abrasion and exposure to cutting fluids, while the cable supports up to 5 million bending cycles in an energy chain. During motion, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, which helps prevent conductor fatigue while permitting compact routing through moving machinery.
At the motor end, the molded RLK1401 clamp box connects to the servo housing, while the cabinet side uses an RLS0721 plug that connects to compatible Indramat drive terminals without tools. Two embedded control pairs with conductor sizes of 2x1.0 mm² + 2x1.5 mm² run beside the power cores, allowing thermal sensors and holding-brake coils to use the same cable route. For fixed installations, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, allowing tighter turns inside a cabinet than the dynamic bend limit permits. The flame-retardant jacket has an orange RAL 2003 finish, making motor power circuits easier to identify in crowded cable carriers. Its polyurethane material also helps the cable tolerate repeated movement without sticking to adjacent cables or carrier surfaces.
