The RKL4722 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for its RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a ready-made interface between Rexroth drive controllers and synchronous motors in automated lines. Besides delivering three-phase power it carries brake control and feedback conductors, allowing the controller to regulate motion without additional harnesses. The cable is intended for continuously moving cable chain installations where electrical integrity must be preserved over millions of cycles.
In dynamic applications the cable withstands up to 5,000,000 bending cycles, a value that quantifies its life in drag-chain use. When routed in a fixed tray the minimum bend diameter is 5xD, whereas moving runs must respect a 7.5xD radius to avoid conductor fatigue. Power loss is held down by a specific resistance of 3.30 ohm/km measured at 20 °C, so voltage drop remains low even on long axes. The outer sheath measures 18.5 mm in diameter, letting the assembly share confined tracks with pneumatic tubing. A GNYE protective conductor is integrated for a consistent ground reference across the machine frame.
The electrical and mechanical profile is completed by the bulk cable designation INK0604, which groups the internal copper as 4x6.0 + 2x1.0 + 2x1.5 mm².
