The RKL4709 cable assembly is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed to link servo drives to their corresponding motors, the model provides power distribution and auxiliary signal pairs required in automated machinery. Its construction supports dynamic routing in modern production cells, allowing controllers and motors to be positioned flexibly while maintaining stable electrical performance.
The cable’s mechanical profile centers on an endurance rating of 5 million bending cycles, which defines how many reciprocating strokes it can withstand before conductor fatigue becomes critical. Under continuous motion the minimum bend radius is limited to 7.5 x D, while stationary runs can be formed to 5 × D without affecting shielding integrity. The bundle uses INK0603 bulk stock and carries the three power cores at up to 300 V. Each of these cores has a copper cross-section of 4.0 mm², a size that balances current-carrying capacity with cable flexibility for medium-power servomotor loops.
For ancillary conductors the design allocates two signal lines at 1.0 mm² and a further pair at 1.5 mm² to support brake or sensor functions without oversizing the overall diameter. The controller end is terminated with a RLS0723/K04 plug, while the motor side mates through an RLK1201 connector, enabling quick exchange of motors during service.
