The RKL4646 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It serves as the preassembled link between an IndraDrive servo amplifier and its matching motor, carrying phase conductors, protective earth, and brake leads without requiring additional on-site fabrication. The cable is intended for dynamic machine axes where repeated motion and tight routing are expected in industrial automation cells.
Mechanical endurance is rated at 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing the assembly to travel inside drag-chain systems over a long service life. The overall diameter of 29.8 ± 1.0 mm fits carrier separators while still accommodating the four power cores and a shield. Electrical performance is influenced by the conductor resistance of 0.78 Ω/km, which limits voltage drop on runs from the cabinet to the motor. The distributed capacitance is 1.1 nF/m, a value that must be considered when selecting drive-side filters. The thermal rating for fixed installation reaches +90 °C, so the insulation remains stable near heaters or inside poorly ventilated enclosures. For static routing, a minimum bend radius of 5 × D applies, increasing to 7.5 × D when the cable is in motion.
The core bundle is manufactured from the INK0607 bulk cable and retains its characteristics after jacket extrusion. At the controller end, a keyed RLS0724/K25 circular connector mates directly with Rexroth drive modules, while the motor side is terminated with an RLK0007 plug for a secure connection. The outer sheath is molded from PUR, providing resistance to abrasion and oil exposure. It is colored orange (RAL 2003) for high visibility in tracks containing multiple cables. The cable is suitable for drag chains and supports the stated bend radii without corkscrewing or lateral migration.
