The RKL4637 is a factory-terminated motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It connects IndraDrive power stages to Rexroth synchronous motors, delivering three-phase energy and protective earth while tolerating continuous flexing in cable chains and robot wrists. By arriving pre-assembled, the cable shortens installation time and avoids wiring errors. Its construction supports safe routing in packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and transfer stations where fast axis movement and tight radii are routine on busy shop floors.
The mechanical fatigue limit is 5,000,000 bending cycles, indicating the conductors, shielding, and jacket can flex this count without cracks or breaks. When the cable travels in an energy chain, the dynamic bend must stay above 7.5xD; keeping this radius prevents copper work-hardening and signal loss. For fixed routing inside a cabinet, the minimum bend shrinks to 5xD because no cyclic stress is present. Thermal endurance reaches 80 °C, allowing operation near warm motors, while the −30 °C lower limit keeps the sheath supple during cold storage or outdoor installation.
The conductor set uses the series’ Basic build, combining fine-stranded copper, PVC insulation, and a braided shield for general EMC compliance. As a Ready-Made assembly, each length is high-pot tested and can be installed without crimping. The specified variant is a Power Cable, so no encoder pairs are present, simplifying routing alongside separate feedback lines. Motor termination relies on Ferrules and Ring Terminal hardware that fits the clamp blocks on Rexroth motors, while the drive end carries the keyed Plug Connector RLS0724 for rapid connection to IndraDrive modules.
