Product Description:
The RKL4630 is a motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It connects a compatible Indramat drive to a servo motor and carries phase current through industrial automation wiring channels. The cable maintains shielding continuity along the power path, helping reduce electromagnetic interference near control wiring and feedback circuits. Its prepared conductor ends reduce installation work while supporting direct connection to compatible drive and motor terminals.
The cable is classified as a ready-made assembly and follows the power cable configuration used for this product line. No additional crimping or overmolding is required before the cable is installed. The jacket and conductor bundle are rated for 5,000,000 flexing cycles, allowing the assembly to operate in high-duty drag chains and other continuously moving cable carriers. During motion, the cable requires a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to protect the conductors and jacket from excessive mechanical stress. A stationary installation permits a tighter bend radius of 5 × D, providing more flexibility when the cable is routed through fixed cabinet channels. Shielding is connected through matching terminations at both ends, and each end includes ferrules and ring terminals for attachment to screw terminals and motor studs without separate adapter lugs.
Polymer insulation supports an operating temperature range of -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing the cable to function in cold production areas and heated enclosures. The insulation also helps maintain stable conductor performance as temperatures change during machine operation. The cable can be routed in mixed-utility carriers near pneumatic lines where exposure to oil splash and fine dust may occur. Its flexible jacket protects the conductor bundle during repetitive movement and helps prevent abrasion where the assembly contacts carrier dividers. Proper bend control and strain relief should be maintained along moving routes so that pulling forces are not transferred directly to the prepared terminal ends.
