The RKL4623 motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It is intended to carry three-phase power and auxiliary control signals between Indramat servo drives and synchronous motors in automated machinery. The cable integrates both high-current conductors and shielded control pairs so a single run can energize the motor and transmit brake or sensor signals, simplifying routing inside a cabinet or cable track.

This cable has an overall diameter of 29.8 mm, large enough to house the four power cores rated at 4x25.0 mm² while maintaining the round geometry needed for glands and drag-chain guides. The insulation system supports up to 600 V AC between conductors and ground. Power loss along the length is limited by a conductor resistance of 0.78 Ω/km, and the characteristic capacitance is 1.1 nF/m, a value that influences drive output filters and leakage currents. For static routing inside a cabinet, the minimum bending radius is 5 x D, so the cable may be anchored without stress relief collars when the radius threshold is respected. Two shielded control pairs sized 2×(2×1.5 mm²) are laid concentrically with the power cores, and the outer jacket is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for quick identification. When permanently fixed, the copper conductors can tolerate wire temperatures up to +90 °C.

Dynamic motion axes that cycle through carriers or robotic joints rely on a flexible bend limit of 7.5 x D to prevent corkscrewing during continuous travel. The sheath is extruded from PUR, giving abrasion resistance and oil compatibility during plant operation. Under flexing conditions, the cable’s thermal ceiling is +80 °C, allowing continuous current flow in high-duty applications without degrading insulation integrity.
