Product Description:
The RKL4574 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It supplies three-phase power from a drive to a compatible servo motor while running inside moving cable carriers commonly used in industrial automation. By combining finely stranded copper conductors with a wear-resistant outer jacket, the cable maintains electrical performance and mechanical stability during repetitive motion in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling axes.
The cable has a rated service life of 5 million bending cycles when routed through a drag chain under proper installation conditions. When clamped in a stationary run, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D; during continuous motion, the required minimum bend radius increases to 7.5 × D to protect the internal insulation from compressive stress. Four power conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4 × 16.0 mm² deliver current to midrange synchronous motors. Their low resistance of 1.21 Ω/km limits copper losses over long runs between the control cabinet and the machine. The cable is approved for drag-chain use, allowing it to be routed alongside feedback cables and pneumatic lines without additional support hardware.
Dedicated control functions are supported by a shielded quartet of 4 × 1.5 mm² auxiliary cores that carries brake or temperature signals alongside the main power conductors. A line-to-line capacitance of 1.2 nF/m supports output-filter sizing for fast-switching inverters. The cable withstands conductor temperatures up to +80 °C during dynamic operation, allowing it to operate near servo motor housings. The outer sheath is molded from PUR material, which provides abrasion resistance and oil tolerance. Its high-visibility RAL 2003 orange color makes the cable easier to inspect along conveyor frames and gantry axes.
