The RKL4537 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied through the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries the main phase conductors and auxiliary signal pairs between a drive and its motor, enabling regulated power delivery and signal transmission in automated machinery. The cable is suitable for moving carriages, robotic systems, and other applications where continuous flexing occurs during normal operation. Its combined conductor layout allows motor power and auxiliary circuits to follow the same routing path while remaining separated within the common jacket.
The cable uses the bulk cable type INK0602 and has a 4 × 2.5 mm² + 2 × (2 × 1.0 mm²) core arrangement. This layout separates the main power conductors from the twisted control pairs while enclosing both groups in a shared sheath. The overall outside diameter measures 14.8 mm, which is used when determining clearance and bend radius inside drag chains. Mutual capacitance is limited to 0.7 nF/m, reducing reactive current when long cable runs connect an inverter to a motor. The copper conductors have a direct-current resistance of 7.98 Ω/km, helping limit resistive losses at typical servo currents. Both the power and control elements are rated for 600 V AC, making them suitable for the output section of compatible Rexroth drive converters. The 2.5 mm² power-conductor cross section supports the thermal load produced during rapid acceleration cycles without unnecessarily increasing the jacket diameter.
The cable has a mechanical service life of 5 million flex cycles, allowing repeated travel in cable carriers. The motor-side termination uses an INS0482 bayonet-latch connector, creating a shielded and strain-relieved interface. The sheath is made from PUR that is adhesion-free and matte, providing resistance to coolant, oils, and weld spatter while allowing smooth movement against carrier crossbars. Conductor insulation withstands a fixed-routing temperature of 90 °C. During dynamic operation, the conductor insulation remains suitable for temperatures up to 80 °C. These temperature limits apply to the cable’s insulation under the stated fixed and moving installation conditions.
