The RKL4525 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It interconnects servo drives and motors, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary control lines within automated machinery. The cable is designed for routing through cable tracks and moving assemblies, allowing continuous motion while maintaining electrical integrity in industrial automation cells, packaging equipment, and gantry axes. It supports dynamic applications where coordinated motion relies on secure power delivery. Its construction combines finely stranded copper conductors with a polyurethane outer jacket, creating a compact profile suitable for tight installation spaces.

During repetitive motion, the cable retains insulation and conductor stability for 5,000,000 bending cycles in drag-chain applications. With an outside diameter of 14.8 mm, machine layouts can account for gland and trough clearances without wasting space. During installation on moving carriers, the minimum dynamic loop must respect 7.5 × D so internal layers avoid shear or corkscrew deformation. The three power cores each use a cross-section of 2.5 mm², giving sufficient ampacity for medium-frame servo motors, while the integrated pair for control or brake release functions is sized at 1.0 mm², maintaining signal integrity without greatly increasing bundle thickness.

The outer sheath is formed from PUR (adhesion-free, matte), a compound that resists oils and weld splatter, so the cable slides smoothly inside energy chains. At typical inverter switching frequencies, the core-to-core capacitance is 0.7 nF/m, a low value that helps limit reactive current. Direct current losses remain low because the stranded copper exhibits 7.98 Ω/km resistance at 20 °C.
