The RKL4499 power lead is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. As a prefabricated motor supply line it delivers three-phase power and protective earth between Rexroth drives and synchronous or asynchronous motors installed on automated machinery. The cable’s geometry, insulation set, and matched connector ends are designed to simplify assembly inside moving cable chains and to maintain stable voltage drop and electromagnetic compatibility during continuous machine duty.
For repetitive motion applications, the RKL4499 is supplied as a Ready-Made assembly that arrives cut to length, terminated, and factory tested. The variant is classified as a Power Cable, meaning every core is rated for motor current rather than feedback or sensor signals. An internal lay of 8 conductors allows separate phase, earth, and auxiliary cores without increasing external diameter. Chain life is supported by a flex rating of 5,000,000 bending cycles, so the lead can operate through millions of strokes before insulation fatigue becomes critical. Continuous dynamic movement must respect a minimum loop radius of 7.5xD; staying above this curvature prevents kinking and maintains impedance uniformity.
