The RKL4495 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for routing between drive controllers and servo motors, this flexible assembly carries three-phase power and auxiliary control conductors in a single jacket for automated machinery. Combining the conductors in one sheath reduces the number of separate cable runs required during installation. The integrated arrangement also supports electromagnetic compatibility in drag-chain environments where motor power and control signals must travel along the same moving axis.
The bulk cable type is INK0606, with insulation and shielding materials that match the electrical parameters required by IndraDrive inverters. Its conductor layout is 4 x 16.0 mm² + 2 x (2 x 1.5 mm²), separating four 16 mm² power conductors from paired 1.5 mm² signal conductors. This arrangement provides balanced current distribution while keeping the control pairs symmetrical for noise rejection. Rated for 600 V AC, the assembly supports typical low-voltage machine supplies without exceeding its insulation limits. A nominal outside diameter of 25.5 mm accommodates the conductor bundle while fitting standard energy-chain cavities used on gantries and transfer lines. The outer sheath is made of adhesion-free, matte PUR, a polyurethane compound that resists oil, cutting fluid, abrasion, and continuous flexing.
The cable is approved for drag-chain installation, and its conductor resistance of 1.21 Ω/km helps limit voltage drop over typical machine lengths. Factory-terminated assemblies use the drive-side connector set RLS0723/K16, while the motor end uses an RLK0005 connector for a secure connection to compatible equipment. These dedicated terminations reduce the need for field wiring and help maintain consistent conductor placement at both ends. A protective earth conductor with the color code GNYE is integrated with the power conductors, providing a grounding path without requiring a separate external lead. The orange RAL 2003 jacket makes the cable easy to distinguish from nearby signal wiring in crowded machine routes.
