The RKL4459 belongs to the RKL Motor Power Cables series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It links servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery and carries three-phase power through moving cable tracks. The preassembled cable reduces the amount of field wiring required during machine installation. Its compatible terminations provide secure electrical connections between Rexroth drive controllers and matching motor families in robot axes, gantries, transfer lines, and other motion systems.

The phase and protective-ground conductors have a cross-sectional area of 35.0 mm², supporting high motor currents with limited resistive loss. The cable is supplied as a ready-made assembly with factory-installed terminations, eliminating the need to prepare the conductor ends in the field. Its service life is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing repeated movement in drag-chain applications without premature conductor fatigue. When installed in a moving carrier, the cable requires a minimum dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D to limit stress on the copper cores and outer sheath. Fixed installations permit a minimum static bending radius of 5 × D, allowing tighter routing where the cable remains stationary.

The power conductors terminate on the drive side with ferrules and ring-terminal hardware, providing prepared contact points for the appropriate drive connections. The motor end uses an INS0623 plug, which locks into the mating connection without field crimping. The cable supports operating temperatures up to 80 °C in warm control cabinets while maintaining the integrity of its conductor insulation. At the lower end of its operating range, it remains suitable for temperatures down to -30 °C in unheated production areas. These thermal limits allow the cable to function across substantial temperature changes while its preassembled connectors reduce the amount of on-site termination work required for installation.
