The RKL4455 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. Designed for industrial automation wiring, the cable carries three-phase drive output to synchronous and asynchronous motors while tolerating repetitive motion inside cable chains and articulating machine axes. It serves as the energy link between drive controllers and moving loads, maintaining electrical integrity under vibration, tensile stress, and exposure to oils commonly found in production cells. This makes the cable suitable for moving axes that require stable power transfer during repeated motion cycles.

Mechanical handling limits include a minimum static bend radius of 5 x D, so fixed routing should maintain a radius equal to five times the cable diameter. In dynamic tracks, the minimum bend radius changes to 7.5 x D to support continuous flexing with reduced conductor fatigue. An outer diameter of 25.5 mm keeps the assembly compact while still supporting heat dissipation without making the cable overly bulky in drag-chain routes. Each phase conductor has a cross-section of 16.0 mm², which helps carry servo current peaks with low impedance. The insulation system is rated for 600 V AC, making the cable suitable for standard low-voltage drive systems used in many plants.

The jacket is finished in RAL 2003 (orange), which makes the cable easy to identify in crowded machine layouts, and the PUR matte surface resists coolants while reducing adhesion in drag chains. Conductor resistance is 1.21 ohm/km, which helps limit electrical losses over longer runs and supports consistent motor torque delivery. Ambient operation is permitted up to +40 °C, with lower temperature limits of -30 °C for stationary sections and -20 °C for flexing service. The cable also supports conductor temperatures up to 90 °C when fixed and 80 °C while moving, which helps protect insulation life during continuous duty.
