The RKL4428 cable is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKL Motor Power Cables series. It carries three-phase power and auxiliary signals between servo drives and motors, supporting coordinated motion and feedback loops in automated machinery. By combining power conductors and control pairs in a single jacket, the cable simplifies routing inside drag chains and stationary cabinet runs while maintaining the electrical isolation and mechanical flexibility required in high-cycle industrial environments.
Its overall diameter of 22.2 mm determines tray spacing and gland selection, while installation bend limits are 5 × D for fixed routing and 7.5 × D for moving drag-chain loops. Each copper phase core has a cross-sectional area of 10.0 mm², providing ample current capacity for medium-frame servo motors. Direct-current losses are limited by a conductor resistance of 1.91 Ω/km, minimizing voltage drop across long machine axes. The power cores are insulated for up to 600 VAC, making the cable suitable for common 400 V to 480 V inverter systems. The cable is also suitable for drag-chain applications with high duty cycles.
